Hello, my name is sarahbyrdd and I'm addicted to "American Idol".  Having struggled through the horror that is the audtion shows, we've finally come to what I consider the fun part:  putting my trained critical ear to figuring out which contestants will be voted off each week.  It's way to early to tell who's going to have the chops to make it to the end.

My psychic prediction is Garrett Haley, Jason Yager, Amy Davis and Kady Malloy will be eliminated this week.

I always stop watching after we get to the top 24.

See now ... the audition shows remind me of all those years I spent auditing freshman placement auditions for voice lessons. There were always a couple of poor kids wanting to be music majors and not being able to match pitch. So very painful. Especially when they wound up in my studio.

After we get to the top 24 they've all got a certain level of skill, so for me, it's fun for me to see who's going to grow through the process, and ponder what constructive criticism I'd give them if I were a judge. ‘Sides, I think they need a proper vocal coach on the panel...Where do I sign up? :-)
