I actually finished my first ever whole sweater in time to give it to Mom for her birthday.  Yay me. So, it wasn't so bad.  This one has raglan sleeves which I knit in the round so there was absolutely no seaming to do.  I think the trickiest bit was picking up stitches for the edging.  Hopefully it will look nice on.  Now I have another sweater to finish (all but sleeve, neck edging and assembly), and another ready to cast on.

I've been spending this relatively dry day blocking other projects that have been lurking, including my Cladonia shawl, and the Inspira cowl that I knit over last winter/spring.

Wow, nice work! Love the lacy edge on the middle one in particular, but they're all lovely.

I loved doing that shawl, a fair amount of mindless knitting for the train then a wide band of lace that goes surprisingly quickly. Plenty of bang for your buck. The most tedious bit was doing the picot loop bindoff. It did make me wish knitted/crocheted lace was period, because I could edge collars and cuffs with that in a fraction of the time it takes to tat or do needle lace.

Any time. My three commandments of knitting are: start with small projects (socks!), only work with materials that make your hands happy, and don't be afraid to rip it out if it's not working (knitting's a process not a goal). It's kinda zen.
